Mono-rail

On Rapare we went on something called a mono-rail.It was the scearyist thing at camp,it was like going on a roller coster .I did it with a group of people and Terry the superviser. We did it because it was one of the recration activities.Just looking at the mono-rail was freaky.

Firstly I had to carry the sled up the hill,it was so tiering.

Next you make sure you have sensible shoes.

After that you buckle yourself up and leave eveything alse up to the sled.

When you have got to the bottom you have to carry it all the back to the top.

Eventually I got to the top , but I thought to myself, I am never going to take that sled up the hill again.

I think the monorail was fun, but next time i am going to try to take my hands off the bar.

Working with clay

My piece of clay is a
flute I made a flute
to show the class.
What I learnt in Waiouru
I like making flutes
because its a skill
but if its two wet
it will slash.
To make a maori hunting
flute you have to make two pinch pots
and put them together by rubbing
your finger over the join so
the clay sticks them together.
Then put a hole in the top.
